About The Role
The Events Officer is responsible for the strategic planning and seamless delivery of Manningham Council's Annual Event Program, including key civic events such as the Citizenship Ceremonies, Community Awards and Annual Grant Celebration. This role ensures events are executed to a high standard, aligning with organisational goals, policies, and legislative requirements. The officer will manage logistics, stakeholder engagement, communications, and risk mitigation, while overseeing budgets and ensuring compliance.
Skills And Experience
* Proven experience in planning, coordinating, and delivering civic and community events, including stakeholder engagement and on-site execution.
* Strong understanding of event-related legislation, risk management, and compliance, particularly for public and citizenship ceremonies.
* Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, procurement processes, and financial reporting with accuracy and accountability.
* Skilled in preparing professional documentation such as reports, briefings, and promotional materials, with attention to detail and timeliness.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on collaboration, customer service, and relationship-building across diverse stakeholders.
