Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Undertaking tangible legal work such as drafting correspondence, assisting with research, attending court, and participating in client meetings
* Contributing to business development activities and completing work for the Pro Bono team
* Attending in-house seminars for professional development
* Connecting with partners, lawyers, and current Law Graduates to learn about their experiences
* Participating in extra-curricular activities, including social club events and end-of-month celebrations
* Working closely with a mentor and buddy to maximize the learning experience
About You
To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must:
* Be in their penultimate or final year of an Australian law degree
* Identify as a member of one or more of the First Nations of Australia
* Demonstrate a sound academic record
* Show previous work experience, a commitment to commercial law, and involvement in the community (such as volunteer work, travel, sporting, or cultural interests)
* Exhibit personable, insightful, and intelligent qualities with energy and enthusiasm
