As a Store Manager, you are responsible for driving overall store performance by leading daily operations, customer service, and team outcomes across the store. You will ensure the effective functioning of both the shop floor and stockroom, aligning with store objectives, operational standards, and company policies.


Responsibilities

* Lead, motivate, and manage the store team (including Department Managers and supervisors) to achieve sales, service, and operational objectives in line with store targets.
* Oversee the delivery of a high standard of customer service across the store, responding to customer enquiries and implementing service improvement actions where required.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, promotions, and store sales performance to identify opportunities and drive commercial outcomes.
* Plan and manage store rosters and labour allocation to ensure effective coverage, efficiency, and compliance with company guidelines.
* Oversee day-to-day store operations including opening/closing procedures, operational routines, and compliance with company standards.
* Manage the organisation and efficiency of stockrooms, ensuring compliance with company standards and health and safety requirements.
* Oversee the receipt, preparation, replenishment, and stock flow processes to ensure product availability and efficient shop floor operations.
* Manage store ordering and replenishment activities in accordance with company standards and guidelines to support product availability and sales performance.
* Ensure the effective management of store sales processes, including exchanges and refunds, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Manage and support visual merchandising standards across the store in line with company guidelines and brand standards.
* Conduct regular store briefings to communicate priorities, sales targets, operational updates, and company communications.
* Monitor store budgets and performance measures (sales, hours, productivity, and expenses) and implement action plans to achieve business objectives.
* Manage training, coaching, and performance development activities for team members, including leadership development and capability uplift.
* Support talent identification, recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning activities in collaboration with People/HR and store leadership.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
* Maintain awareness of retail industry trends, product performance, and competitor activity.
* Complete operational reporting and documentation to support business decision-making and store performance improvement.
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace environment aligned with company values.
* Plan and manage stocktakes and sale preparation activities in line with operational requirements and company procedures.
* Manage conduct and performance processes for team members, including performance management and conflict resolution, in collaboration with People/HR and in line with company policies.
* Maintain communication with relevant internal stakeholders, including Product Departments at Global Headquarters, to support store execution and product performance.


Skills and Experience

* Diploma-level qualification with at least two years of relevant work experience, or a minimum of three years’ relevant experience in retail management.
* Proven experience leading, motivating, and developing teams in a fast-paced retail environment, including managing leaders and supporting performance delivery.
* Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Demonstrated experience in stock management, visual merchandising, and analysing sales performance to drive results.
* Ability to plan, organise, and oversee day-to-day store operations in line with business objectives, including labour planning and operational standards.
* Commitment to delivering high standards of customer service, operational excellence, and compliance with company policies.
* Availability to work full-time (38 hours per week) on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Salary: AUD $75,000 – $85,000 per annum
