Overview
An exciting part‑time opportunity to join the World Service Centre team as the Finance Manager.
The World Service Centre contributes to the accounts, administration, and support for mainly Ministries in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, and other groups worldwide.
This role requires a big-picture view.
Responsibilities
* Maintaining the records of mainly music International Trust, a NZ entity.
* This is the organisation that holds and protects the 'mainly' group of brands.
* Engaging with the UK Accounts Manager, ensuring support and resourcing is provided and confirming inter-company transactions.
* Managing two Accounts Assistants for mainly music Australia and mainly music NZ, ensuring processes are followed and data is accurate.
* Smoothing the bumps of their understanding and removing any mountains through problem‑solving.
* Engaging with live inventory systems, ensuring processes maintain accuracy.
* Processing and preparing Board reports, following governance requirements for three of entities, and providing operational effectiveness.
* Reporting to three Boards, six times a year (Board meetings are held on‑line in the evening).
* Ensuring processes and procedures are common to all entities and that they are fit for purpose and followed by staff.
Qualifications
* Someone who loves to see the future while accurately calculating the past.
* Someone who enjoys seeing staff developing in their roles.
* Someone who has worked in Australia and understands charity accounting practices.
* With knowledge of or a willingness to learn the accounting landscape of Aotearoa / New Zealand (required for mainly music NZ Trust and mainly music International Trust) and abide by charity and tax legislation.
* Someone who is capable and adaptable, caring and committed.
* With strong organisational and communication skills.
* Someone who is comfortable with technology (we use Office365, MYOB and Xero).
* Someone who has a posture towards cultural competency.
