selectability is looking for a passionate and motivated Youth Worker to join our growing team Our youth residential program provides accommodation and intensive support to children and young people with various needs.
As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our children and young people to live their best lives. You will bring genuine passion and commitment to make a difference. Children and young people may have high to complex needs, and selectability aims to promote consistent and stable teams to support their recovery.
About you
To be successful, you must:
* possess clear and effective communication skills
* demonstrate computer literacy and accuracy in record management
* be able to follow policies and procedures
* work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals
* be flexible to work across a 24/7 roster
Role requirements
* minimum Cert IV qualification recognized under child safety standards (or willing to study)
* certification in Hope and Healing for residential care (to be obtained upon commencement)
* a current P1 "C" class Queensland driver's licence
* a roadworthy, fully insured vehicle
* current nationally recognized first aid and CPR certificates (or ability to obtain)
* Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or ability to obtain)
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain)
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
