The Role – Urgent Care Paramedic
We are seeking skilled Paramedics to join our Urgent Care team in Bega, providing essential urgent care to the Sapphire Coast community. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative clinical environment, providing timely assessment and hands-on treatment for patients presenting with non-life-threatening urgent conditions. You will work alongside experienced medical and nursing staff, contributing to efficient, patient-focused care within a modern primary healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Welcome, assess and triage patients presenting to Urgent Care, ensuring clinical priorities are identified quickly and safely.
• Conduct thorough assessments and form appropriate care plans, escalating concerns when required.
• Respond promptly to patients who are deteriorating or require immediate intervention.
• Perform clinical procedures such as wound care, suturing, plastering, and immobilisation.
• Work confidently in a fast-paced environment where patient needs vary throughout the day.
• Provide clear education, support and guidance to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation to support continuity of care.

About You
• Registered Paramedic with AHPRA.
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends.
• Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or ability to obtain).
• Previous experience in emergency, urgent care, remote, or acute clinical practice (minimum 1 year preferred).
• Sound clinical judgement and confidence in recognising patient deterioration.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously when needed.
• A genuine commitment to providing respectful, patient-focused care.
