THE ROLE
We have an opportunity for a Structural Drafter / Designer, located in our Geelong office. In this role, you will work under the direction of Structural and Civil Engineers to develop coordinated documentation, for the delivery of high-quality structural and civil projects. Your day-to-day work will typically include:
* Preparing detailed structural documentation and drawings using Revit 3D and AutoCAD
* Assisting with technical inspections and preparation of supporting documentation and reports
* Supporting the development and standardisation of drafting systems
* Contributing to smooth project delivery in collaboration with the broader team
* Interacting with our broader team for successful project delivery
* Bringing fresh ideas and technical creativity to our national structural engineering group
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
As an integral part of our local structures team, this position will play a part in the future growth of our national business. To be successful, these attributes are essential:
* Experience in structural design drafting and BIM modelling (3-5 years is preferred)
* Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
* A proactive mindset and willingness to contribute to process improvement
* Keen attention to detail, with excellent communication skills
* Flexibility to work independently or as part of a collaborative team
* Alignment with our company values, with a desire to contribute to a positive team culture
The following skills will also be highly regarded:
* Knowledge and the practical application of NCC and Australian Standards relevant to structural construction
* Experience assisting with construction inspections and structural condition assessments
