BG of Australia Pty Ltd is the Australian importer/wholesaler of BG Products. We sell a range of chemical additives and equipment within the Automotive Aftermarket industry, mining, road transport, civil and engineering sectors. Our mission is to source and market the world's highest quality chemicals, equipment, service training and customer loyalty programs.
**The Role**
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Technical Chemical Sales Specialist will be responsible for selling to existing customers as well as developing new business. Selling within a small team you will be based in the VIC metro area.
**Key Responsibilities & Tasks Include**:
- Collaborating with sales management to secure new business contracts.
- Account management to develop long term relationships with clients.
- Participating in training programs for customers.
- Compiling lists of prospective client businesses using directories and other sources
- Acquiring and updating knowledge of employers' and competitors' goods and services, and market conditions
- Visiting regular and prospective client businesses to establish and act on selling opportunities
- Assessing customers' needs and recommending and explaining goods and services to them
- Monitoring customers' changing needs and competitor activity, and reporting these developments to sales management
- Arranging delivery of goods, installation of equipment and the provision of services
- Reporting to sales management on sales made and the marketability of goods and services
- Following up with clients to ensure satisfaction with goods and services purchased, and resolving any problems arising.
- Participating in trade shows and conventions where requested.
**Requirements**:
- Degree level qualification, in marketing or chemistry/environmental studies.
- Only those with experience in using or selling BG or similar products need apply.
- A minimum 2 years of sales experience within the Automotive Aftermarket industry.
- Top level verbal communication ability.
- Enjoy pitching, negotiating and closing new business.
- Motivation and personal ambition to learn and succeed.
