**About the Role**

As the Business Support Coordinator, you'll report to the Melbourne Defence Enterprise Director and collaborate seamlessly with the MDE team, academic theme leaders, and key stakeholders. In this role, you'll provide top-tier operational assistance to the MDE, overseeing administrative tasks and independently guiding daily operations. This includes coordinating meetings, workshops, travel, and communication materials, alongside supporting financial tracking and governance reporting. You'll demonstrate discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism while handling sensitive issues and interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Provide high-level secretariat and administrative services to MDE Directors and the Academic Theme Leads
- Coordinate the day-to-day administrative operations of the MDEs’ activities, and provide administrative support to enable an effective interface between the MDE management and the FEIT
- Collate and consolidate data such as key metrics and assist in the preparation of annual operational and business planning activity reports, submissions, or briefing notes for the MDE.

**Who We Are Looking For**
In order to be successful in this role, you should be a detail-oriented, collaborative individual with strong organisational and interpersonal skills. You should excel in independently managing administrative tasks, fostering relationships with stakeholders, and maintaining discretion and professionalism while contributing to successful operational support and governance reporting.

You will also have:

- Completion of an undergraduate tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of administrative support to senior staff
- Ability to interpret and run financial reports; analyse data to identify discrepancies
- Proficiency in the use of IT and the Microsoft Office suite, experience using databases, financial and operational systems

**Please note**:This role requires an Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian defence security clearance.
