We're working with a national leader in landscape maintenance and construction services that transforms community spaces across Australia. With over 30 years in operation and a strong track record of delivering large-scale commercial and government projects, this company is now expanding its national footprint — and they're looking fora motivated Business Development Managerto help drive that growth.
This is role for someone whoknows how to uncover opportunities, build partnerships, and convert them into long-term clients.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Identifying and targeting new business opportunities across local government, education, commercial, and asset management sectors
* Proactively prospecting, cold calling, and attending meetings to build relationships and generate leads
* Preparing tailored proposals and collaborating with internal teams to present solutions
* Managing and growing your own pipeline from lead to close
* Representing the brand at industry events, site visits, and client meetings
* Working closely with senior leaders to support broader business growth objectives
What You'll Need:
* Proven experience in business development, account management, or B2B sales
* A proactive, "hunter" mindset — you don't wait for leads, you create them
* A background in a service-based industry ideal(e.g. facilities management, recruitment, fleet, trade services, etc.)
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with decision-makers
* Confidence with proposals, presentations, and relationship management
* A current driver's license
