Chicken Processing & Egg Hatchery Workers – Manning Valley NSW (6-9 Month Assignment, Jan 2026 Start) Location: Manning Valley, NSW Employment Type: Casual
Hours: Monday to Saturday – rostered shifts, early starts, and variable finish times depending on production requirements
About the Role
We are seeking 30 reliable and hardworking Chicken Processing & Egg Hatchery Workers to join our client's poultry operations in the Manning Valley region for the January 2026 intake.
These roles involve working across chicken processing, hatchery operations, egg handling, grading, and general production duties to support daily site operations.
Key Duties
* Assisting in chicken processing and production line tasks.
* Handling, collecting, grading and packing eggs to food safety and quality standards.
* Supporting hatchery operations including transferring and setting eggs.
* General shed, equipment, and site housekeeping/cleaning.
* Following all biosecurity, animal welfare, and safe work procedures.
* Working efficiently in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
About
You to succeed in this role, you will demonstrate: A positive attitude and commitment to completing the full 6-month placement.
Good fitness level with ability to perform repetitive, physical tasks.
Reliability with early morning starts.
Ability to work in a team and follow supervisor instructions.
Comfort working in poultry environments, including exposure to dust, noise, and warm conditions.
Strong focus on safety, hygiene, and quality.
Requirements
* No previous poultry or hatchery experience required – full training provided.
* Background in processing, farm work, or labouring is an advantage.
* Driver's licence and reliable transport preferred (limited public transport in the area).
* Must be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
* Ability to comply with all safety, animal welfare, and biosecurity protocols.
