Overview
Strong Futures Allied Health is seeking a motivated and dedicated Allied Health Therapy Assistant to join our team in Broome. In this role, you will work under the clinical supervision of our qualified Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists to deliver high-quality therapy programs to clients within the Kimberley community.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support individuals with complex disability and psychosocial needs, often in remote settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist therapists in implementing prescribed individual and group therapy programs.
* Support patients with mobility, communication, and rehabilitation exercises.
* Observe and report changes in client conditions and progress to the supervising clinician.
* Prepare treatment areas and maintain clinical equipment.
* Provide direct support during therapy sessions to ensure client safety and engagement.
* Assist with basic administrative tasks and documentation related to therapy delivery.
Required Skills and Experience
* Qualifications: AQF Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent), or at least one year of relevant full-time experience in a therapy-related role.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and time management.
* Current C-Class Australian Driver's License.
* National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
