Tasks & Responsibilities: Mentor and teach young people essential life skills. Build rapport and trust, acting as a positive and reliable role model Maintain resilience to overcome challenging behaviour Guide young people towards positive behaviors using redirection and negotiation techniques. Form nurturing relationships through active engagement. Ensure the young person's essential needs are met, including a balanced diet, hygiene prompts, school support, and positive life experiences. Promote independent living skills, such as cooking, budgeting, shopping, and household maintenance. Engage young people in activities aimed at developing life skills and self-worth. Support children/young people in building their capacity to be a part of their community Maintain a clean and safe home environment. Requirements: Holds a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Community Services, or a relevant qualification (or be currently working towards it). Demonstrates the ability to implement strategies and tactics to de-escalate challenging behaviors. Has expertise in engaging Holds an Australian Driver's License or International Driver's License.
