About The Role
RSGx is seeking an accomplished and driven General Manager – Powerlines to lead and grow our national powerlines business across Australia. Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, this role holds full P&L accountability and is responsible for the strategic growth, development, and operational delivery of the Powerlines division nationwide. The role provides leadership across safety, commercial performance, client relationships, people capability, and execution excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide national leadership and strategic direction for the Powerlines business, aligned with RSGx's broader organisational strategy.
* Deliver full P&L ownership, including revenue growth, margin performance, cost control, forecasting, and financial governance.
* Drive business development and market expansion across transmission
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, utilities, contractors, and key industry stakeholders.
* Lead and develop high-performing operational and leadership teams across multiple regions.
* Ensure consistent execution of safety, quality, and compliance standards across all projects and sites.
* Oversee project delivery to ensure outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, and to contractual and client expectations.
* Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence across systems, processes, and people capability.
About You
* Proven experience in a senior leadership role (General Manager, Business Unit Manager, or similar) within power, utilities, or major civil infrastructure.
* Demonstrated P&L management experience with responsibility for driving profitable growth.
* Strong understanding of the Australian power transmission and distribution market.
* A strategic mindset combined with hands‐on operational leadership capability.
* Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
* A strong commitment to safety leadership and building a culture of accountability and performance.
* The ability to lead nationally distributed teams in a fast‐paced, project‐driven environment.
