Project Overview

In Western Australia, we support capital works programmes in aviation, defence and energy infrastructure, collaborating with customers and integrated teams to build capabilities for future growth.
Job Summary
Lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. Direct craft professional activities, manage schedules, coordinate subcontract work, and provide team development. Ensure craft professionals have the tools and guidance to be productive, compliant, and within specifications, schedules, and budgets.
Major Responsibilities
* Engage proactively in team development through continuous performance management, competency development, and feedback.
* Ensure contractor work is delivered safely, addressing personnel and environmental hazards, and that risk analysis, health risk assessments, and work method statements are in place.
* Provide technical guidance and direction to Construction and other support functions.
* Manage the successful completion of construction activities for assigned scope.
* Oversee review of standard plans and specifications for constructability.
* Participate in technical meetings with Project Contractors.
* Interface with Project Contractors to review construction methods for assigned scope.
* Participate in engineering, construction, and management review meetings.
* Ensure Project Contractor construction program tools and deliverables meet contract requirements and are consistent across assigned areas.
* Act as liaison between engineering and construction.
* Ensure the contractor executes the contract in line with terms and conditions.
Education & Experience Requirements
Requires a bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13–15 years of relevant experience, or 17–19 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge & Skills
* Demonstrated experience managing major projects in infrastructure and aviation industries.
* Knowledge of health & safety, quality, and environmental legislation and best practice.
* High level of interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven record of leadership and behavioural change within large organisations and with external stakeholders.
* Computer literacy in MS Office, database applications, and PowerBI.
* Ability to influence and engage collaboratively while maintaining commercial awareness.
