About the Role
Whitpro Pty Ltd is seeking a Plant Operator with an HR Truck Licence to join our team in the Whitsundays.
This is a split role (approximately 50/50) between truck driving and plant operation, supporting a range of works across our divisions. The position suits someone who is competent across both areas, adaptable, and willing to be part of a hands‐on team environment.
You do not need to be highly specialised in machinery, however you must be confident and capable in operating plant and vehicles safely and efficiently.

We are developing a central operational yard to support our expanding services and are seeking reliable team members for long‐term roles within the business.
Key Responsibilities
Operate plant including excavators and/or skid steer (Bobcat) as required.
Drive HR trucks between sites, deliveries, and yard operations.
Load, transport, and assist with materials and equipment.
Conduct daily pre‐starts and basic maintenance checks.
Maintain equipment in safe working condition and report faults promptly.
Assist across teams and job types as required.
Requirements (Essential)
HR Truck Licence (mandatory – applications without this will not be considered).
Demonstrated experience operating plant (excavator and/or skid steer).
Competent and confident operating machinery safely.
Good work ethic and reliability.
Ability to work across varied tasks and environments.
Tickets for excavator and/or skid steer.
Experience in landscaping, civil, or similar industries.
Basic mechanical awareness and equipment care.
