The role
As a leading medical device distributor in the laparoscopic and open surgery market, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our Urology business nationally. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self‑starter and team player with deep Urology market knowledge, a proven sales track record, and experience building relationships and launching marketing campaigns in the surgical market.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and revenue goals for urology products and services.
* Build and maintain relationships with key customers and KOLs to promote the company's products and services.
* Identify new business opportunities and develop plans to expand the company's market share in the biologics space.
* Analyse market trends and competitor activity to provide insights and recommendations for product and business development.
* Work closely with the sales team to develop opportunities and drive overall product sales.
* Tailor solutions to meet specific client needs and improve patient outcomes.
* Negotiate pricing, contracts and terms to close deals effectively.
* Develop and deliver sales presentations, product demonstrations and training programs to customers and sales team members.
* Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns to generate leads and promote the company's products.
* Ensure marketing collateral such as brochures, sales sheets and presentations are maintained and up to date.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, resolve issues and drive growth.
* Attend conferences and trade shows to promote products and stay up to date on industry trends.
* Manage accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts and customer data in the company's CRM system.
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
* Minimum of 20 years' experience in sales and business development in the Urology market.
* Existing relationships with KOLs in core therapeutic areas Australia‑wide.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business opportunities.
* Strong knowledge of the Biologics market, products and services.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote/field‑based environment.
* Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time nationally.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
* Experience in marketing and implementing successful marketing campaigns.
