About The Position
The Technical Officer - Assets (Data) (12 months Term Contract) will work across Council's Assets teams, assisting with asset condition and risk assessments and data entry.
Key Responsibilities
* Update and maintain Council's infrastructure assets registers.
* Inspect and record new assets and confirm that Work as Executed information is correct.
* Assist in the registration of Plans and Drawings in Council's plan document management system.
* Effect QA checks on the contents of the register to ensure data related to historical plans are accurately recorded.
* Record and prioritise results of risk and asset management inspections
* Perform risk management and condition inspections on infrastructure assets in accordance with inspection schedules specified by Council's Infrastructure Management Plans.
* Review and make recommendations to the content of defect parameters utilised in Council's Management Software for asset inspections.
About You
* Relevant qualifications in Civil Construction and Maintenance combined with 5 years relevant work experience; Alternatively Council may consider relevant qualifications in Risk Management or equivalent with relevant experience.
* Previous experience in the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment process.
* Working knowledge of the applicable Acts and Regulations; eg Roads Act, LG Act and WHS Act;
* Demonstrated intermediate competence in the use of various relevant standards and specifications and guidelines;
* Ability to read and interpret civil engineering working drawings;
* Demonstrated advanced competence in computer operations including word processing, and spreadsheets, and competence in the use of Microsoft Office Software (or equivalent); and
* Class C Drivers Licence.
* Previous experience using Table and GIS and Asset Management Software (desirable)
* Work experience in roads and drainage construction and maintenance (desirable)
* WHS General Induction for Construction Work in NSW (desirable)
* Traffic Controllers Ticket (desirable)

* Salary from $68,618 to $80,728 per year (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 12% superannuation
