The Project & Opportunity:
Acciona Agua Australia, a global leader in sustainable water infrastructure, is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the delivery of major water projects across New South Wales.
This key role will contribute to the successful execution of large-scale infrastructure initiatives, including desalination and conventional water treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will bring robust mechanical engineering expertise, hands-on project delivery experience, and a collaborative approach to driving performance and innovation within the water sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the mechanical design, implementation, and commissioning of major water infrastructure projects.
- Produce equipment specifications and datasheets for quotation
- Elaborate suppliers technical proposal comparison and selection
- Produce delivery equipment final documentation files
- Provide technical oversight during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Ensure compliance with mechanical design intent, technical specifications, and project milestones.
- Resolve complex technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in mechanical design and delivery for water treatment projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment selection, and installation practices.
- Experience with digital engineering platforms (e.g., BIM) is highly regarded.
