As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you'll report to the Regional Clinical Manager for the ACT. You'll?play a crucial role in conducting assessments, writing behavioural support plans and programmes, assisting with the implementation of plans and supervision of other practitioners. The work is based on the principles of Multi-Element Behaviour Support (MEBS) and Positive Behaviour Support for children and adults in the home, community, and school/workplace settings.
What you'll do
- Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions
- Provide support and training to employees on clinical techniques
- Undertake Clinical Supervision of Core Behaviour Support Practitioners
- Assist the Regional Clinical Manager as required
- Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with all key stakeholders
- Work with varying professionals including doctors, psychiatrists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to develop and implement individualised client goals and checklists
**Skills and Experiences**:
What you'll need
- A bachelor's degree and/or post graduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support
- Proven experience as either a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Behaviour Analyst or Behaviour Therapist.
- High level oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to prepare and finalise technical reports in a timely manner
- Demonstrated and effective time management skills including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities set in a fast-paced environment
- Current NDIS Screening and Working with Children Checks and an NDIS Practitioner ID.
- Valid driver's licence and vehicle
- Willingness to complete introductory IABA training in Non-Linear Multi-element Positive Behaviour Support
