We have an opportunity in the Albury area for an experienced Disability Support Worker to join our dynamic team.
What your day-to-day will look like: Our Disability Support Workers support people in their day-to-day living.
We provide quality 24/7 care in our supported independent living accommodation settings (Supported Independent Living and Group Homes), ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for our customers.
You will aid, support and direct care for customers living with a disability within group homes, day programs, vocational training, and drop-in support in Customer homes.
You will also provide support in external environments, such as shopping centres, doctor's surgeries and recreation areas including parks, accompanying customers to support them on community access visits and appointments.
Customers supported by Disability Support Workers commonly live with some level of intellectual or behavioural disability.
Many customers supported have, in addition, a physical and/or a psychiatric disability.
Broad availability to provide services in a 24/7 environment, weekend and overnight availability is a must.
