Position Overview
The primary role of the Account Manager, Translations & Communications is to achieve individual and team sales targets by advising clients on translation and communications solutions.
This role involves understanding client needs, scoping translation projects, preparing quotes and sales proposals, and building strong client relationships through online and face-to-face meetings. You will work closely with government and not-for-profit clients to develop tailored solutions that meet their objectives.
The role also requires ensuring a clear and thorough handover of confirmed projects to the Production team, providing all required information to support efficient and successful delivery.

Responsibilities
Primary
* Provide high-quality translation advisory services and develop tailored translation-based solutions to drive revenue growth amongst prospective and existing clients.
* Identify clients' requirements and project scope, accurately estimating project costs and timelines.
* Develop comprehensive sales proposals and quotes, and diligently follow up on these proposals for conversion to sales.
* Ensure clear and detailed hand-over of closed sales to the Production team, including all necessary information for efficient and successful project completion.
* Develop and maintain strong business relationships with assigned clients, ensuring that their experience with the company is world‑class.
Secondary
* Grow company revenue through establishing new business relationships, while expanding opportunities with existing clients.
* Identify and reach out to prospects via LinkedIn, email, and phone, cultivating a robust and diverse client base.
* Assist in the development of competitive and compelling responses to tender and RFQ opportunities.
* Conduct video conference meetings, phone appointments, and face-to-face meetings with clients as required.
* Enter lead and sales data accurately and promptly into operational and finance systems for tracking and analysis.
* Produce high-quality reports for management and the team, documenting sales progress, client feedback, and market trends.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and competitor offerings, applying this knowledge to improve sales strategies and client services.
* Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance skills and stay current with industry changes and advancements.
* Share knowledge, expertise, and best practices with other Account Managers, while providing ongoing training, coaching, and support to Account Coordinators.
* Any reasonable task as requested by your Manager or the business.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
* Prior experience in Account Management or Sales, ideally in the translations or communications industry, is valued, but not essential
* Tertiary qualification in Translation, Interpreting, or Communications.
* Helpful, enthusiastic and eager attitude.
* Willingness to travel and visit clients onsite in your capital city.
* An understanding, appreciation and passion for cultural diversity.
* An ability to learn and grow quickly.
* Ideally, the ability to speak a language other than English.
