QMW are seeking experienced Boilermakers, Heavy Fabricators & First Class Welders who want more than just a job - they want to build the future!
You'll be working on exciting critical equipment projects that the industry relies on, from mining, earthmoving and construction to transport and government. Projects include Fuel Lube Service (FLS) modules, water and fuel tanks, elevated work platforms and machinery attachments, to ROPS/FOPS/OPG's, full OEM cabin refurbishments and many other custom engineered products. What you'll be doing
- Fabricating and welding heavy industrial components and structures to high quality standards
- Using multiple welding processes: GMAW, FCAW, GTAW and SMAW
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Inspecting and testing welds to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards
- Assist with the operation and maintenance of workshop equipment and tools
- Collaborating with the wider team to support delivery of projects on time and to specification
Who we're looking for
- Qualified welders with a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience as a First Class Welder on heavy fabrication projects
- Minimum 5 years' experience required
- Proficient in a range of welding processes, including GMAW, FCAW, GTAW and SMAW
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- High-level safety focus, ensuring personal, team, and workplace safety at all times
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of relevant welding codes and standards
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and demand
