Role/Title:Data Analyst-CMDB 6-10 Years

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to manage and optimize the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within a dynamic technology operations environment.
This role is critical to ensuring data accuracy, governance, and actionable insights across IT service management platforms.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and service partners to support automated discovery, data ingestion, and service modeling—driving operational excellence and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Regularly review, cleanse, and reconcile configuration item (CI) data to identify discrepancies and ensure data quality
Support the adoption and optimization of automated discovery tools and batch ingestion processes (e.g., spoon jobs)
Monitor the full lifecycle of CIs—from creation to retirement—ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and relationship mapping
Build and maintain dashboards and reports using visualization tools to provide insights into CMDB health, compliance, and service impact
Enforce data governance standards, maintain documentation, and support audits and compliance checks
Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation across data ingestion, reconciliation, and reporting
Collaborate with internal teams and managed service partners to onboard and validate new data sources
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
5–10 years of experience in Data Analysis, CMDB, or ITSM domains
Hands-on experience with ITSM platforms, CMDB tools, automated discovery, and digital workplace solutions
Familiarity with ingestion processes and integration workflows
Strong SQL skills and experience in data transformation and reconciliation
Proficiency in BI and visualization tools (e.g., Helix Dashboards, Power BI)
Proven ability to analyze complex datasets and deliver actionable insights
Understanding of infrastructure components such as networks, servers, and applications
Knowledge of ITIL v4 practices, especially Configuration, Change, Incident, and Problem Management
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical insights into business outcomes
Adaptable, collaborative, and growth-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in telecommunications or large-scale enterprise environments
Familiarity with managed service provider (MSP) operations and data onboarding
Exposure to compliance and audit processes related to configuration management
