Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Coordinator (SMP) to join a major industrial project in Western Australia. This role is ideal for a hands‐on professional with a strong background in onshore construction who thrives in fast‐paced project environments.
You will play a key role in coordinating construction engineering activities, ensuring safe, high‐quality, and efficient project delivery while maintaining strong collaboration between site and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate with engineering disciplines across design, fabrication, and execution phases
* Review engineering deliverables to ensure constructability
* Support development of execution strategies and project delivery plans
* Assist in preparing cost estimates and project schedules
* Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders on technical matters
* Monitor fabrication progress and ensure timely delivery to site
* Contribute to constructability reviews and identify potential issues
* Support procurement and subcontracting activities
* Prepare and review construction work packs and fabrication documentation
* Track progress and provide reporting to project stakeholders
* Assist with change management processes and site‐driven design updates
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements
Requirements
* Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a relevant trade qualification
* Strong experience in onshore plant construction projects
* Proven background in brownfield project environments
* Demonstrated ability to manage cost and schedule effectively
* Experience working on large‐scale industrial or energy projects
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Proficiency in project planning tools (P6 advantageous)
* Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Experience
* Minimum 8 years of experience in construction or engineering within industrial, energy, or process environments
* Prior experience in construction engineering roles is highly desirable
Working Pattern
* FIFO 2:1 roster
* 10.5-hour working days plus unpaid break
* Flexibility to work extended hours as required
