Position Title: Fractional Specialist - Palliative Care Medicine Physician
Classification: HN17 - HN57
Salary per hour (exc. super): $151.50 - $197.80 (dependent on Medical Specialist Year Level)

**Role Description**
The role of the consultant physician will be to provide specialist palliative medical support and clinical leadership to the Bendigo Health Specialist Palliative Care Service and its patients including the Loddon Mallee Specialist Palliative Care Consultancy Team, Bendigo Community Specialist Palliative Care Service and the Inpatient Specialist Palliative Care Unit.
***This role would likely suit a Fractional Specialist Physician interested in eventually increasing their hours to full time - dependant on the outcome of the health services clinical services plan and operational needs**
**The Team**
The medical team within the palliative care and evaluation unit include geriatricians, rehabilitation physicians, palliative care physicians, registrars and junior medial staff.
The Team look after inpatients who require ongoing assessment, evaluation and rehabilitation. This is usually after an acute illness or traumatic event, but sometimes after failing to manage in the community. The team may assist in one or more of the following outpatient clinics - memory clinic, falls and balance, comprehensive geriatric assessment, continence and telehealth reviews. The team may be rostered to assess and provide care to older adult patients in the acute wards of Bendigo Health, Residential In Reach, Transition Care Program or ACAS clients in the community.
