As the Information and Communication Electronic Technician, you will support the OASIS departments with your technical knowledge. You will be responsible, under minimal supervision, for performing periodic maintenance tasks, troubleshooting failures, and completing job orders for systems managed by the Information Technology Team.
Responsibilities/Duties
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Conduct preventative maintenance on all electronic systems maintained by IT.
* Plan equipment, tools, and materials needed for tasks.
* Perform initial fault-finding analysis and implement solutions.
* Maintain reliable operation of security systems.
* Maintain and repair site electronics such as CATV, DVDs, and Projectors.
* Install and repair fibre optic networks related to IT infrastructure.
* Maintain electronic circuits and schematic diagrams.
* Perform project-related tasks as required.
* Ensure health and safety practices are followed at all times.
* Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Desirable
* Year 12 completion
* Formal qualifications in Electronics or equivalent experience
Relevant or related discipline field.
* ACMA certification – Coaxial
* Qualification in Terrestrial Digital Transmission
* Certificate III, IV or Trade Qualification
* Undergraduate or Postgraduate Degree
* Equivalent experience
Tickets and Licences
* Driver's Licence
* ACMA certificate with fibre optic endorsements
* LV Rescue, White Card, Confined Space, Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform, First Aid, Electrical Skills Maintenance, Forklift License, HSR Training, CPR
Experience and Skills
* 1-2 years' experience
* Strong communication skills
* Experience with MS Office
Work Environment and Physical Demands
* Office environment, occasional lifting up to 10kg, kneeling, standing, walking, sitting, and communication skills required.
Security Clearance
Must obtain and retain the appropriate security clearance, such as TSPV or TS/SCI w/ Poly.
Additional Requirements
* Must be at least 18 years old.
* Able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
