Your new role
Key Responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor:
Pre-Construction:
Preparing cost plans, feasibility studies, and detailed cost estimations (bills of quantities).Tendering:
Managing the tender process, evaluating bids from contractors, and negotiating contracts.Construction Phase:
Monitoring project expenditure against the budget, managing variations, and assessing progress payments for contractors.Post-Construction:
Finalising accounts and assessing final project costs.Tax Depreciation:
Specialised quantity surveyors create depreciation schedules for property investors to maximise tax deductions on investment properties.What you'll need to succeed
- At least 5+ years experience as a quantity surveyor
- Either a degree or Cert 4/Diploma in Quantity Surveying
- A strong work ethic, and the ability to work autonomously
