Responsibilities
Coordinate engagement with centres and external partners to advance key advocacy initiatives.
Assist in crafting compelling internal and external communications and campaigns, and produce impactful materials (including those for the CEO).
Support strategic initiatives through budget management, travel coordination, and stakeholder engagement plans.
Organise centre visits, manage supplier relationships, and deliver advocacy campaigns and events that align with Goodstart's brand.
Collaborate across teams to continuously improve processes and stakeholder service.
Qualifications
Essential:
Minimum 2+ years' experience in a communications, advocacy, or campaign environment and/or within an early learning setting.
Strong organisational and administrative capability with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging, and accessible content.
Proven relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners.
Independent and team-oriented work style, taking ownership and accountability for allocated tasks and outcomes.
Strong planning, prioritisation, and coordination skills, with experience brokering outcomes with diverse stakeholders.
Willingness to undertake occasional domestic travel as required.
QLD Working with Children Clearance.
Desirable:
Undergraduate qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Early Childhood or a related discipline.
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign) and managing databases or CRM systems.
Understanding of the Australian media, political and/or public policy landscape, particularly as it relates to advocacy or social impact.
