About the role:
The Project Officer provides support for project planning, coordination, and delivery across the organisation. This role assists with procedural documentation, program and project governance to ensure compliance, efficiency, and successful implementation of change and organisation initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
* Assist in planning, coordinating, and tracking project and compliance activities, tasks, and milestones across their lifecycle
* Develop and maintain project documentation, including business cases, project plans, risk registers, and status reports
* Coordinate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements, including agendas, minutes, and action tracking
* Monitor review schedules and maintain a central policy register with version control and compliance checks
Key experience:
* Demonstrated experience in project coordination, reporting, and administrative support within complex organisational environments.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to plan, schedule, and track multiple activities and deadlines.
* Proven ability to prepare, edit, and maintain high‑quality documentation including reports, business cases, project plans, risk registers, and correspondence.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with experience liaising across internal teams, subcontractors, and senior leadership to gather and validate information.
* High attention to detail and analytical capability to ensure data accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and maintain compliance with governance requirements.
* Skilled in managing correspondence processes, including drafting, proofreading, reviewing, and escalating sensitive matters appropriately.
* Experience coordinating meetings and workshops, including logistics, agenda preparation, minute‑taking, and action tracking.
* Knowledge of policy and procedure management, including maintaining registers, monitoring review schedules, and ensuring compliance with departmental and legislative requirements.
