We are looking to engage a Senior Estimator to join their high performing construction team in WA. Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager, you will be part of a team of three estimators, contributing to technically complex tenders ranging from $20M to $150M.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage tenders for technically challenging projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates using CostX for projects $50M+, including D&C, ECI, and traditional lump sum contracts.
* Assess project risks and develop commercial strategies to maximize profitability.
* Collaborate closely with design, procurement, and project teams to deliver high-quality submissions.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of estimation processes, templates, and systems.
* Selectively evaluate tender opportunities to ensure alignment with strategic focus and capabilities.
Key Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
* Proven experience as a Senior Estimator in commercial new build projects.
* Experience working on tenders for projects $50M+, preferably in healthcare, defence, industrial and complex commercial sectors.
* Knowledge of D&C, ECI, and lump sum contracting.
* Excellent negotiation, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience with CostX or similar estimation software.
* Background in Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors preferred; candidates from smaller businesses considered if familiar with structured processes of large-scale construction.
