Job Description
What you will be doing:
* Complete organisation of conferences, events and group accommodation from confirmation to post-event follow-up in order to ensure client satisfaction.
* Prepare all banquet event orders, and other relevant paperwork to effectively communicate client/guests needs to internal and external sources.
* Preparation and follow-up of event, group accommodation, social and corporate proposals as well as promotional collaborations for direct clients and on behalf of department, as required.
* Work within an agile team environment to maximise opportunities in an ever-changing environment, this may include product and promotion development.
* Promote and Market curated events.
* Assist with the use of the Sofitel and Garcon Bleu marketing tools, to create, distribute and analyse promotional executions.
* Use of hotel tracking system to accurately record all activities including follow-up.
* Represent the hotel at various functions and meetings, as necessary.
* Quoting and contracting business both new and existing clients.
* Develop close relationships with other Accor hotels, hotel suppliers and contractors and all Conference and Event clients, past, present and future
* Assist “walk-ins” with their enquiries.
* Sell all Hotel Services, with particular focus on up selling and add on sales to heighten the client experience and add revenue for the business.
* Conduct thorough client and staff briefings as necessary.
