About the Role
You will be responsible for EPA's on-ground regulatory response in the region, including education, compliance monitoring, and inspections, and managing non-compliance via regulatory notices and enforcement action.
* Plan and deliver regulatory actions to prevent harm to communities and the environment from pollution and waste through education and engagement, compliance monitoring, and inspections, and managing non-compliance with environmental laws via regulatory notices and enforcement action.
* Actively participate in investigations under the direction of the Environmental Crime Branch, and deliver preventative projects and compliance programs aligned to EPA's regulatory priorities.
* Support and guide other team members in delivering organisational priorities, contribute to the analysis, negotiation, and resolution of compliance issues, provide local intelligence to inform the development of preventative projects and compliance projects aligned to EPA's strategic regulatory priorities.
* Work collaboratively with co-regulators, duty holders, communities, and other partners to drive improved environmental and public health outcomes, and provide local intelligence to inform EPA's strategic regulatory priorities.
