Join the North West Hospital and Health Service as a Senior Pharmacy Assistant and make a meaningful impact across our diverse regional facilities. In this temporary full‐time role, you'll supervise pharmacy assistants, manage pharmaceutical distribution, and support high‐quality, safe patient care across the NWHHS.
About The Role
You will play a key role in the delivery of safe, efficient and high‐quality pharmacy services across the North West Hospital and Health Service. Based at Mount Isa Hospital, you'll oversee stock management, support pharmacy operations, and contribute to continuous service improvement under the guidance of a pharmacist.
Responsibilities
* Oversee and optimise the distribution, supply, and inventory control of pharmaceuticals across all NWHHS sites.
* Liaise with pharmacists, clinical teams, and outreach facilities to maintain safe, compliant, and timely pharmaceutical services.
* Contribute to quality improvement activities, audits, and regulatory compliance aligned with Queensland Health and NSQHS standards.

Requirements
* It is a mandatory requirement for appointment to this role for the applicant to hold a Certificate IV (HLT40512) in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support.
* Pre‐employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
* This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
* A period of probation may apply.
