About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Head Chef at Harbour Rocks Hotel within the EVT Independent Collection in Sydney.
Reporting directly to the Hotel Manager, the Head Chef will lead the hotels culinary operations (Tayim Restaurant, Creperie Suzette & Eric’s Bar) by turning every guest experience in to an unforgettable one.
Some duties include:
* Direct day-to-day culinary activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Complete costed menu planning and seasonal updates across all outlets. Being totally conversant with regard to all aspects of the Hotel’s culinary offerings to drive sales & revenue outcomes Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance Constantly motivate staff and be positive and passionate of what we offer

Skills & experience
* Proven previous experience in a similar role in a similar or larger property with proven leadership experience.
Professional and personable, with excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude. You’re pre-equipped with sound decision making and problem-solving skills, especially under pressure. Hotel Management / Administration qualification or equivalent experience. You will be required to hold or obtain a First Aid and RSA certificates. Outstanding communications and presentation skills both written and verbal.
