Job Description
Our Federal Government client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with experience in both on premises and cloud technology and will work across teams with other senior or skilled Engineers in network, storage, platforms, backups or Unified Communications. Having skills or experience across these areas will be highly advantageous.
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for managing and resolving complex technical incidents and problems within the ICT environment, as well as providing technical advice to senior leadership.
To be successful you will also have a range of generalist skills, and will be able to work collaboratively with business, other system owners and administrators to progress technology initiatives.
You will be responsible for delivering operational outcomes through:
* Leading technical resolution of incidents and problems within the ICT Infrastructure space, act as a Senior Engineer.
* Working across infrastructure teams to support incident and problem resolution.
* Providing technical expertise and advice to senior management.
* Producing and reviewing project/services delivery documentation including Architecture, Designs, ‘As built documentation’ and Operating Procedures.
* Building and Maintaining Stakeholder relationships (Including Executives, Business Representatives, project Managers and staff).
* Configuration and installation of all server hardware, including installation of the operating system and third party products onto the system.
* Supporting cloud operations and Microsoft Office 365 products.
* Implementing, managing and maintaining a range of email and unified communications technologies.
Selection criteria include but not limited to:
* Demonstrated capability to identify, coordinate and resolve complex technical incidents and problems within the ICT Infrastructure space.
* Able to manage risks and issues, balance multiple competing priorities and communicate to executive.
* A working knowledge of the Information Security Manual (ISM), the Protective Security Framework Policy (PSFP), and other International Standards (ISO’s).
* Strong background in Microsoft Azure and Office365 and their delivery in a PROTECTED environment, including:
o Microsoft Information Protection
o Microsoft Defender suite of products
o Microsoft Cloud App Security
o Conditional Access
o Microsoft Intune
* Strong background in information security technologies.
Desirable criteria include but not limited to:
* Experience in Infrastructure support, systems administration and operational ICT.
* Competent in Microsoft software and products.
* Experience with Pexip and Unified Communications, Microsoft Teams.
* Knowledge in ITIL.
Role Particulars:
Submission deadline: 14/08/2023
Duration: ASAP - 31/12/2023
Extension/s: 6 month option to extend
Clearance: Active Baseline Clearance with the opportunity to upgrade to NV1 clearance
Location: On-site in Canberra, and may be required to work remotely subject to direction
Working arrangements: The engagement will be based on an 8 hour day/40 hour week
