Defence Service Homes (DSH) Insurance is part of the Defence Service Homes Scheme which provides housing related benefits to eligible members of the Service and ex-service community. The Defence Service Homes (DSH) Insurance Scheme is a national scheme providing home building insurance to eligible veterans, war widows and Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel. The team consists of five core business areas that include Products, Pricing and Underwriting, Sales and Policy, Claims, Marketing and Communications and Finance and Accounts. DSH Insurance is responsible for looking after all aspects of its Home Building Insurance portfolio and acts as an Authorised Representative for a private insurer in offering its Contents policy and other personal lines products. DSH Insurance has 2 immediate vacancies within the Products, Pricing & Underwriting Team. The key duties of the position include The APS 4 and APS 5 Compliance Team Insurance Advisor roles, within DSH Insurance, include but are not limited to the following responsibilities. Demonstrate commitment and willingness to understand the needs of ADF members and Veterans. Maintain working knowledge of Insurance industry regulations and codes, as well as internal DSH Insurance policies and procedures. Provide support, and advice, to DSH Insurance staff on quality assurance and regulatory policies, systems and process requirements. Perform quality assurance and compliance monitoring, analysis and reporting activities. Prepare compliance and process related verbal and written communications and documents for DSH Insurance stakeholders. Contribute to the identification, reporting and resolution of DSH Insurance process improvement opportunities. Build and maintain effective working relationships with other areas within DSH Insurance. Monitor, and manage, own performance against team goals. Provide support to the Compliance Manager/DSHI management as required. Assist with adhoc DSHI project work as required.
