Dredge Robotics is seeking a hands‐on, technically strong Robotics Systems Support Technician to join our growing team in Bibra Lake.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working across electronics, networking, and mechanical systems, and supporting real‐world operations where performance matters.
You'll begin with a structured onboarding and training period alongside experienced team members, before progressing into a 7 days on / 7 days off Perth based roster, supporting operations across Australia.

The Role
You will act as the primary technical support contact for systems operating in field —supporting mobilisation, operation and troubleshooting. This is a hands‐on combining:
* electronics
* networking / IT systems
* field diagnostics
* integration of electrical with mechanical systems
You will play a key role in ensuring our systems perform consistently and reliably in the field.
Key Responsibilities
* Mobilise, commission, and support robotic systems operating in the field
* Act as the primary technical support contact for field operations working closely with Operators and Supervisors
* Diagnose and resolve faults across electrical systems (ELV) and networked systems (communications, onboard systems)
* Assemble, test, and in‐field commissioning
* Perform preventative maintenance and implement reliability improvements
* Prepare clear, concise reports on system status, faults, and maintenance
* Follow all safety, operational, and company procedures
Skills & Experience Core Technical Skills (Essential)
* Strong fault‐finding and troubleshooting capability, with a systematic approach
* Experience working with electrical systems (ELV), electronics and control systems, advanced networking (IP‐based devices, communications troubleshooting)
* Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, circuit diagrams, system schematics
* Hands‐on experience assembling and maintaining technical equipment
Field / Operational Readiness
* Willingness to travel and support field‐based operations for immediate or planned operational response (during shift)
* Able to operate effectively during time‐sensitive work
* Comfortable working in industrial and mining environments
Highly Regarded
* Electrical trade or similar practical background (not mandatory)
* Experience working with IP‐rated or environmentally exposed equipment
* Exposure to robotics or automation systems, PLCs or control systems
* Forklift ticket and First Aid certificate
