We are seeking versatile and multi-skilled Maintenance Fitters with at least 3 years of experience. Working on an innovative operation, the role is diverse with scope for fresh ideas. This position is offered on an 8/6 7/7 roster, FIFO from Perth or Karratha Residential BIBO.

The Role
The Maintenance Fitters are responsible for the optimisation of the performance, availability, and safety of fixed plant assets, by liaising with the Process Team, Maintenance Planners, Supervisors and Superintendents. This is to prioritise mechanical maintenance activities including Preventative and Adhoc tasks to achieve maintenance targets and ensure statutory compliance and production continuity. Your area of technical responsibilities will include Wier, Xylem and Flood Lifter pumps, Generators, our 2.5 kilometres jetty with conveyors, our transshipper and eventually, once constructed, our Salt Wash Plant.
The successful candidates will liaise closely with the Supervisor Maintenance, and process team to prioritise maintenance activities to reduce the impact on production. You will assist in work planning, scheduling and resource allocation with a focus on the weekly maintenance plan, practice effective cost management and identify cost minimisation strategies. Additionally, you will ensure accurate input of daily maintenance statistics into the process plant reporting system to track downtime and safety and ensure all work carried out has been recorded in the mines book. This role will manage contractors on short- & long-term basis.
About You
The successful candidates will have:
* A minimum of 3 years post trade experience, preferably within the mining industry and on fixed plant.
* Mechanical Trade Qualification.
* Manual C Class driver's license
* Experience in Asset Management and Preventative Maintenance Schedules.
* Strong understanding and ability to use Maintenance Management Systems. i.e., Pronto
* Prevalent in use of computers and Microsoft suite. i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Teams & OneNote.
* Confined Space Entry competency.
* Working at Heights competency.
* Provide First Aid Training.
* Low Voltage Rescue Training.
* Forklift and/or Telehandler advantageous.
* Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawings.
