Area Manager Role

At our leading retail company, we are seeking a highly skilled Area Manager to oversee the management and visual presentation of all relevant stores. This position will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth through staff development and implementing short and long-term goals.
As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Leading by example to set management expectations across your team and manage performance
2. Training, mentoring, and coaching Team Members to work towards goals and succession planning
3. Managing key financial KPI's to deliver growth on target
4. Visiting all stores on regular rotation to develop teams and ensure stores are performing at the required level for current and future growth
5. Recruiting, inducting, and training management team to build bench strength for future expansion
6. Leading and developing the team to deliver consistency across business intelligence
7. Leading visual set-up of all new store openings and ensuring relevant stores uphold their visual representation
8. Managing customer experience standards in store
9. Driving management team to budget-set daily and weekly on all business KPI's
10. Managing priorities and responsibilities from all areas of the business, i.e., Head Office, Distribution Centre, Merchandise, and Buying teams
11. Escalation point of contact for all store issues
To succeed as an Area Manager, you will need:
* A minimum of 3-5 years experience in Area Management in a high-turnover business
* Previous experience in a fast-paced and similar retailer
* Leadership skills to train, coach, and develop your team
* A proven track record in driving and exceeding set KPI's while motivating your stores to achieve their set KPIs
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities, tasks, and overall expectations
* An ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
* Highly analytical individual with a strong attention to detail
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
