We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable and Administration officer to join our team in Devonport.

This is a fantastic opportunity to Join our Financial Accounting team as an Accounts Payable and Administration Officer and play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely processing of creditor payments. This position is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Receive, review and prepare invoices in readiness for processing, including ensuring that invoice details are in line with determined requirements.
* Provide guidance to all staff on accounts payable procedures, ensuring that all invoices and payment requests are completed correctly including account costing allocations
* Forward invoices to responsible officers to obtain authority and costing details and monitor the return to ensure timely payment. Where suppliers indicate outstanding accounts follow up invoice authorisation with responsible officers.
* Ensure all ATO requirements through GST are met and follow up with Authorised Officers where invoices submitted do not comply.
* Report any discrepancies in GST requirements to Responsible Finance Officer.
* Input invoice details into computer system
* Initiating new suppliers and adding them on the system
* Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
* Support the Accounting & Finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.
* Other administration & accounts duties where required
What we're looking for
* Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Accounts Payable tasks in a large organisation
* Experience in accounting software
* Strong excel, word and numeracy skills
* Analytic approach, problem solving skills, accuracy and attention to detail
* Finance qualifications desired but not required
* High degree of accuracy and attention to details
* Confidence to work: autonomously and as part of a team
* Ability to meet tight deadlines
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Work as a team player with a 'can do' attitude
