Optimisation Specialist
We are seeking an expert in rostering and resource planning to join our team. As a key member of our workforce management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient deployment of staff across our facilities.
You will be responsible for analysing historical data and forecasting future staffing needs to develop strategic rostering plans that align with our organisational goals.
Your expertise in rostering and resource planning will enable you to design and implement optimised rosters that improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance staff satisfaction.
In this role, you will work closely with our operational teams to review and manage leave requests, track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), and make data-driven decisions to improve performance.

About the Role
* Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategic rostering plans that align with organisational goals
* Analyse historical data and forecast future staffing needs based on demand patterns, trends, and business requirements
* Continuously review and optimise rostering processes to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance staff satisfaction within designated region
* Review and manage leave requests as well as track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to rostering and staffing, making data-driven decisions to improve performance
* Engage with key stakeholders and provide regular updates
About You
* Demonstrated experience using human capital management systems, including creating and adjusting staff schedules, managing shift changes, monitoring compliance requirements, and supporting operational teams with roster-related queries
* A degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Human Resources, Data Science, or Operations Management is desirable, and any relevant certifications would be advantageous
* Experience in understanding rostering and resource planning processes, theories, and methodologies
* Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience in applying industrial, regulatory rules or enterprise agreements within a business
* A high level of prioritisation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills and ability to 'think outside the box' and to work within multiple/conflicting time constraints
* Ability to analyse complex data sets and identify trends and patterns
* Practical experience with rostering or workforce management software and strong verbal and written communication skills
