Lawyers - Family and Civil Law (Multiple Openings)
Hume Riverina Community Legal Service (HRCLS) is looking for multiple full-time Lawyers (Family Law and Civil Law) based in Wodonga, VIC.

As a proudly independent, community-managed organisation, UMFC is dedicated to strengthening families and individuals across North East Victoria and the Southern Riverina of NSW. HRCLS provides legal assistance in civil and family law to those most in need.
Responsibilities
Deliver legal advice, casework and representation in family law/family violence or civil law matters.
Represent clients in courts and tribunals as appropriate.
Maintain accurate records and comply with professional standards.
Participate in community legal education and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
Provide holistic support in collaboration with allied community services.
Participate in law reform and advocacy initiatives as relevant.
Qualifications & Experience
Unrestricted practising certificate in Australia (or eligibility to hold one).
Current C Class Driver's Licence and Working with Children Clearance and a clear National Police Check.
Court advocacy experience in family law, family violence, or civil matters.
Familiarity with the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and Magistrates' Court processes.
Interest or experience in cross-jurisdictional issues such as tenancy, credit, debt, or family violence.
Understanding of trauma-informed practice and working with disadvantaged communities.
