Overview

* Fixed-Term (until 5.03.2027), Full-Time
* Office of the Chief Operating Officer
* CQUniversity Rockhampton (Relocation support available)
* Higher Education Worker Level 7
* Total Remuneration $121,744 to $131,995 pa (including salary of $102,876 to $111,538 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

Capricornia Stronger Places Stronger People (SPSP) Initiative is auspiced by CQUniversity. It is a community-led, collective impact initiative that seeks to disrupt disadvantage and create better futures for children and their families through locally tailored and evidence-driven solutions in partnership with local people.

We are seeking a dynamic Graphic Design and Communications Coordinator who can unite strategic thinking, creative design and community engagement to strengthen the work of Capricornia SPSP. Your work will encompass strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, graphic design, digital and media management to support social change initiatives across the region.

You will play a key part in shaping how the initiative communicates, engages, and inspires. Bring your design talent, communication expertise and passion for driving positive community-led outcomes to a role where your work will make a meaningful and lasting impact.

Position Requirements

* Degree or equivalent relevant experience in Design, Communications, Marketing or Public Relations with at least 3 years' experience in graphic design, communications or digital publishing.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Australian South Sea Islander peoples and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), with demonstrated capability in visual storytelling, infographics, and data representation.
* Strong writing and editing skills with experience tailoring content for specific audiences.
* Proven initiative, sound problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across teams and uphold principles of equity, inclusion, and community-led approaches.
