About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Underground Coal Mine Supervisor for a full-time permanent position at Ironbark No.1 Coal Mine, located less than a 2-hour drive southwest of Mackay, QLD.
This role operates on a 7/7 rotating roster, supporting a balanced work-life approach while delivering consistent site operations. FIFO/DIDO options and salary packaging are available, ensuring flexibility and support for your individual needs.
Employment begins with a 6-month probationary period, after which permanent full-time status is confirmed based on performance.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supervising and supporting the delivery of services including VCD installation and maintenance
• Overseeing secondary support and strata consolidation tasks
• Contributing to outbye and general mine services
• Ensuring compliance with safety systems, standards, and site procedures
• Leading and mentoring team members to maintain operational excellence
About You
To be successful in this role, you must hold:
• G1, G8, G9 & G2 (formerly S1, S2, S3 & G2)
• Tickets including drifty, loader, airtrack, and QDS drill rig
• A valid "C" Class Queensland driver's licence
• A current Coal Board Medical (or be willing to obtain one)
• A Standard 11 certification
You'll bring at least 2 years of underground coal mining experience, strong leadership capability, and a commitment to safety, team development, and continuous improvement.
