About the Role
As part of the Database & Application Services team, you will be responsible for managing the enterprise database and application platform. From deploying and managing SQL Server environments, to configuring IIS and scripting with PowerShell, you'll play a vital part in ensuring our systems are safe, secure, efficient and running smoothly.
This role also isn't just about technical skills. You'll be working closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure that the technology behind the scenes is empowering everyone to do their best work.
Key responsibilities include:
* Administer and maintain SQL Server databases to ensure their performance, availability, and security.
* Manage and support Microsoft Windows Server environments, ensuring seamless operations.
* Use PowerShell scripting to automate tasks, streamline processes, and optimise system performance.
* Analyse, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to databases, applications, and servers quickly and effectively.
* Collaborate with other teams as well as customers, providing technical advice to stakeholders.
* Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to boost efficiency and scalability.
* Develop and maintain technical documentation, including procedures and user guides.
* Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry best practices.
About You
We're looking for someone who will contribute to the development of a culture that is team based, collaborative, consultative and outcome focused with a high level of commitment and skills relevant to the role.
Previous experience in Database Administration is highly regarded.
