Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Public Health Nurse to implement disease control, surveillance and follow-up activities related to notifiable infectious diseases.
This role will play a key part in outbreak management by providing expert advice, education and consultative services to health professionals, the public, institutions, schools and child care centres.
* Demonstrated high level experience in surveillance and control of notifiable diseases.
* Current Registered Nurse (Division 1) with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and CPR certificate.
* Authority to provide Immunisation Services as per NSW Health Policy Directive or willingness to work towards the same.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement disease control, surveillance and follow-up activities.
* Provide expert advice, education and consultative services.
* Support immunisation team and contribute as an immunising nurse in school vaccination program.
