Job Title
The role of State Account Manager is to drive sales and profitability for premium seafood products in the independent retail space.
About the Role:
This permanent, full-time position will be based in Canning Vale, Western Australia, with a focus on building strong relationships with store owners and managers in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute Joint Business Plans with key accounts to drive mutual growth in conjunction with the National strategic plan.
* Lead promotional planning with strong commercial acumen, negotiating and implementing strategies to boost sales and market share.
Key accountabilities include:
* Strategic Account Management
o Develop and execute Joint Business Plans with key accounts.
o Lead promotional planning with strong commercial acumen.
* In-Store Execution & Retail Development
o Lead store-level activation and merchandising for our seafood products.
o Ensure compliance with planograms, seasonal promotions, clearance programs, and in-store tasting setups.
* New Business Development
o Identify and focus on high-potential independent retail customers.
o Present full seafood solutions through category expertise (Chilled and frozen range).
* Reporting & Insights
o Submit weekly reports with photos, execution wins, competitor activity, and challenges.
o Capture field-level insights on pricing trends, consumer feedback, and emerging products.
Requirements:
* Sales or Merchandising Expertise: Demonstrated experience working with Independent Grocery group networks.
* Client Engagement: A preference for face-to-face interaction to build and maintain strong client relationships.
* Industry Experience: Experience in the Seafood, Meat, or Poultry sectors is highly regarded, though not essential.
* Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.
