You'll join a team trusted to advise on some of the state's most complex and high-profile legal matters.About the RoleCrown Law's Commercial and Property team provides expert legal services on a wide range of commercial and governmental matters, including procurement, government funding, legislative compliance and corporate governance matters.As Special Counsel, you will primarily deliver advisory work (approximately 80%) on a variety of commercial and governmental matters, including government contracts, legislative compliance, information privacy and corporate governance matters.
You will also draft tailored funding agreements, inter-governmental agreements, and commercial arrangements.
You will be a member of a multidisciplinary team including experts in property, planning and setting and intellectual property law, and contribute to mentoring staff and fostering a collaborative culture.
Flexible working arrangements, including part time options, are available.Skills and ExperienceTo succeed in this role, you will bring:Admission as a legal practitioner in Queensland (or eligibility for admission).
Minimum 8 years post-admission experience in commercial law, with demonstrated strengths in advisory work.Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following:advising on legislative compliance, information privacy or corporate governance;drafting commercial contracts;drafting and advising on government funding agreements;Strong knowledge of governance, compliance, and public sector frameworks.The ability to manage complex and sensitive matters independently.A background in either government legal teams or private practice with public sector clients is welcomed.Why Join Crown Law?
