**Creative Producer - Science Engagement and Events**:
**Join us at the Australian Museum and help us achieve our Mission to ignite wonder, inspire debate and drive change.**

**About the Role**:
The Creative Producer, Science, Engagement and Events (SEE) is primarily responsible for developing, co-ordinating and delivering AM's flagship annual science event, the _Sydney Science Trail_ _(SST). SST is a Schools and Community program presented in partnership with the AM and the Botanic Gardens of Sydney (RBG) during National Science Week, to raise the profile of science and increase scientific understanding and appreciation.?SST's Education component is a shared delivery model between the AM and RBG.

The Science Expo is a core element of SST. The Creative Producer, SEE, collaborates closely with partner organisations, AM's internal teams, science professionals, communicators and educators to program and present a range of engaging, best-practice activities for the Expo which inspire participation and increase STEM literacy.

With the Manager Public Programs, the Creative Producer, SEE, also assists to secure ongoing financial support for SST and develop grant submissions for additional funding.

This role also offers the opportunity to work with the Public Program team to develop other science programming during times of the year when SST is not a full-time effort.
- Role Description

You will be paid a competitive annual salary of $93,295- $102,941, plus the employer's contribution to superannuation (currently 11%) and annual leave loading.

**About You**:
We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced programming professional with a solid track record of success in a similar role, to develop and deliver Sydney Science Trail (SST), our flagship National Science Week season, and to support the Public Program rollout with other science offerings when time permits.

You will bring your keen eye for detail, strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills, and passion for science communication to the AM. With experience in event development and delivery, you can build programs that further understanding of First Nations cultures, natural histories and climate solutions, with appeal to a broad range of AM audiences.

You'll be a collaborator with strong problem-solving skills, and an ability to shape and produce an engaging suite of programs which encourage and inspire participation in science for students, young people and family audiences.

The SST project brief is broad, and you'll work with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including science professionals, educators, marketing, ticketing, partners, funders and donors to deliver the annual program.

**Key knowledge and experience**:

- Comprehensive knowledge of the science, science communication and cultural sectors
- Effective relationship management with community, stakeholders and industry
- Experience with event coordination and project management with an ability liaise with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated interest, knowledge and understanding in natural history, First Nations cultures, and the environment.

**Essential Requirements****:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Event Management, Science Communication, History, Culture, or Arts
- Availability to work on weekends, public holidays and evenings when required.
- A valid NSW Working with Children Check
